Transparency is vital to us!

Please feel free to ask any questions you may have about our terms and conditions prior to booking your event.

Fees:

Artists are paid $100 per hour painting for private events with a 1 hour minimum. Speed painting for large community/public events pricing is slightly more ($110 per hour). The Artist can paint approximately 8-12 full face or 15-25 small eye/cheek designs per hour depending on the intricacy of the designs that are chosen. Be sure to book your time accordingly to avoid leaving anyone out. PLEASE do not ask us to disappoint any guests, leaving them unpainted due to lack of time booked. Sometimes we have an event booked right after yours, and we may not be able to stay past the stop time contracted. If you exceed the time booked and we are available to stay, it will be charged in half hour increments. Client will pay for the time booked plus overrun, even if Client has delayed the time we start the actual painting.

Invoices:

50% of your total balance is due in order to book your event. This deposit retains your time and date booked, and is non refundable. The remaining balance is due on or before the day of your event. The client agrees to pay balances by the due dates specified.

Accepted Payment Methods:

Payment may be made through the emailed invoice itself using a debit/credit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Cash App Pay, or Square Gift Card. We also accept cash, checks (MADE OUT TO: Alison Reinstein), and Venmo.

Cancellations, Refunds and Reschedules:

Should you need to reschedule your event, please do so at least 7 days prior to event, and we will make every effort to meet your needs. If we can find a replacement date that works for both artist and client, your deposit remains valid. If you need to cancel your event, or we are unable to accommodate the rescheduling, your deposit will not be refunded. Once you put a deposit down and reserve a day/time, we turn away other business for that time slot- this is why your deposit is non refundable. We do not offer refunds for inclement weather, so please secure an alternative indoor space for your event in advance. Should our artist get sick or need to cancel, every effort will be made to secure another artist. Should this fail, client's deposit will be refunded in full.

Travel Fee:

If your location is more than 30 minutes outside Southeast Boise, you will be charged a travel fee. For 35 minutes travel time, it's $20, and $5 for each additional 10 minutes over that. (please let me know your closest cross streets or address for an accurate quote).

Equipment Fee:

For the well being of our artists we require shade if painting outdoors. We are happy to bring a 10' x 10' canopy as needed or if shade is unavailable. This is an additional $15 per event.

Venue/Water Slides/Water Play:

If you are renting a bounce house, slide, water fun, or hosting your event at any venue that is not your home, please check that they allow face painting before booking. Also, face paints are water soluble and will come off and/or smudge upon contact with water. Please plan accordingly.

Breaks and End Times:

Artists will have paid 5-10 minute breaks every two hours and access to a restroom. If you have booked by the hour, it is your responsibility to limit additional guests from requesting painting after contracted time has ended. Please book enough time and artists for your event to avoid this disappointment.

Limitations on Artwork:

Artists will not paint any part of the body that is illegal to expose or artist deems inappropriate. Artists will also not paint anything they deem vulgar, offensive or disturbing.

Extreme or Adverse Working Conditions:

Artist reserves the right to cease painting and leave without refunding any money if there are extreme adverse working conditions, and the client fails to remedy the situation after it has been brought to their attention. Adverse conditions include but are not limited to: destructive, violent, or extreme inappropriate behavior of a child, pet or adult, illegal activities, or otherwise dangerous conditions.

Health and Safety Policy:

Health, hygiene, and happiness are our top priorities! To protect ourselves and others, we kindly ask if you are suffering from the following:

- Cold, cough or runny nose

- Visible sores, scabs, severe eczema, other wounds

- Pink eye

that you avoid any contact with our painters or their equipment. We as artists will clean our hands, clean and sanitize equipment between events, use organic skin safe sanitizer in our water to sanitize brushes in between guests, use one sponge per child, and replace our water frequently. We do not have a mask requirement for our painters, however, if your event requires us to wear a mask, please let us know ahead of the event. We are happy to accommodate.

We cannot paint any child under the age of 2 years old. Our paints are only FDA approved for ages 2+. This is a matter of safety.

We cannot/will not paint any child who is crying or unwilling to be painted. We respect your child's feelings, space, and do not want to cause any fear or negativity. Face painting is meant to be fun! If your child calms down/becomes willing later, please let us know and we are happy to paint them!

Faces must be clean prior to painting. We are happy to provide parents/adults in charge of party with wet wipes and/or paper towels to clean children's faces prior to painting. Artist will NOT be responsible for cleaning faces.

Liability Statement:

We use only FDA approved cosmetic grade face painting supplies. The artist is not liable for allergic reactions to our supplies. Anyone with allergies, skin allergies/conditions, or sensitive skin should ask the artist to paint a test swatch on skin at the beginning of the party or not participate. Client understands that darker or highly pigmented paints may leave behind a temporary, faint stain after the first wash. This will come off with warm soapy water and a washcloth, or using makeup removal wipes. For safety reasons we cannot paint anyone who is under the age of 2 years old, or is unwilling. For safety reasons our artists cannot paint anyone who is or appears to be suffering from cold sores, conjunctivitis, ringworm, eczema, infectious skin conditions, open wounds, or scabs. Artists will use reasonable care, but are not responsible for damage to clothing or property. The client agrees to pay for any accident or injuries caused by pets and/or guests, and/or any damages to artists' equipment and/or supplies. Under no circumstances will the artist supervise children. Their behavior and safety is the responsibility of the client and/or parents.
